Monopoly
On my quest to getting more business sense I've started playing Monopoly. A game that somehow has been an inspiration of a lot of success coaches that I've read about. So I started playing the game just recently on the new laptop that my Dad gave me. (Thanks Dad)
It's an easy enough game to play especially after the books I've read about real estate and playing cashflow 101 it's a really nice game, and an addictive one at that.
The objective of the game is to acquire properties of a single color set. When you do it's called a MONOPOLY then that's when you can build your houses and hotels. Acquiring property at the right side of the board seems to be the most profitable.
I've learned a lot with playing this game. I realized I need the stable income that I get whenever a make a complete cycle in the board. I also realize how critical dealing with other people is to success. And how important to save some money to get the good stuff and not squander it on non-profitable acquisitions. And when you're in jail, the only income you can rely on is your rental property. I love this game already. I can't wait to buy the real thing which would probably be after a year or two till I find someone else to play it with. Monopoly isn't quiete a popular game in the Philiipines but hey, you never know.

Happy New Year!
Every New Year I get sentimental and instead of making a resolution like most folks I like looking back in the past year and think of things I could've done better and be proud of stuff I did right.
ON BLOGGING
I went through my blog for last year and I'm surprised how very few my entries were. Actually I've been busy with other blogs and the passion dwindled down when my Adsense got suspended so I guess that's to be expected. It's still my dream to be a professional web publisher so I'll keep blogging!
I guess if I had a new year's resolution it would be to make this blog active even without adsense. That sounds great!
ON FAMILY
I'm proud to say that my family is still intact and even through all those trials and tribulations. My married life seems to get better as time passes. It just amazes me.
ON FAILURES
I've been a guy who gets discouraged easily. But this past year I've been getting a hang of it. I lost my 3 year job, I'm buried in debt, I'm earning a monthly income, and I'm not getting any thinner. Sigh....
I see a great 2011 that'll change all that.
ON LEARNING
Reading previous posts I've realized how much I learned the past year. Especially when in comes to business and blogging. I've also attended several seminars and followed a lot of great blogs. I'm surprised when I realized that a year ago I didn't know all these stuff to begin with.
ON FRIENDSHIP
This is probably the year when I made a whole lot of friends after leaving Teletech. I've been secluding myself especially after I got married. The change was all too sudden for me and I had a hard time coping, but 2010 changed all that. Leaving Teletech might even be a blessing.
ON WORK
I'm working at SM north now and get to travel farther that I had with my previous jobs. I would've preferred Ayala or Makati, but I guess SM north would do for now. Although I do miss earning a 5 figure income every pay day, I'm enjoying my stay at Stream so far. Let's see how far this gets me.
ON SUCCESS
I guess since my past successes was rendered useless by my failures I don't think about them much, but having earned $100 per month for a few months was a kind of achievement for me. Also getting hired at Stream especially when I realized how many people can't get into a callcenter job even though they finished several big time courses in College.
ON A CERTAIN PAPURR FELINE
I wonder what happened to her. I still think about her sometimes and can't seem to find her tumblr blog nowadays. I'm happy for her accomplishments and I know that she's had a bigger year than I had. Gambatte Pappur-chan!

On becoming rich:
hahaha! I know, no one reads this blog so I'll take the risk of writing my personal thoughts. This is a blog afterall. Almost a year ago I decided to be rich. I haven't had much progress since. I started serious blogging but then I got tired and bored and eventually got suspended by google! It was depressing because that was also around the same time I lost a job I had for the past 3 years. It was a big blow to my finances. Eventually I had to get new jobs and tried attending seminars and learn new things that could earn me some money.
So another year is at hand, so let's see how well I fare with life this coming 2011!

Stream-ing along...
So, after getting kicked out of Convergys, I've finally got a new job with Stream Global services under Clearwire account. And it just so happen that I just passed what seemed like a half-baked training. So now I officially begin a full-time shift taking calls and helping people out with their wireless broadband service. It'll take some time gettign sued to since It's less troubleshooting and more billing, but I'm glad training is over. My co-trainees were nice but our relationship isn't as fun as it was back in Convergys. Honestly I really miss those people. But this is where I am now and I'll just have to make the best out of it.
