I caught a HOPE mouse!

The Hope Mouse is altruistic by nature, wanting only to help others, be they human or mouse. The King has been so touched by the selflessness of these mice that he has sent out a decree. If any hunter should catch a Hope Mouse, dust him off and send him on his way, as he's likely off to do some good in the world. Recent flooding in Australia, Brazil, Philippines and Sri Lanka have sprung this mouse into action! Many organizations, such as the Queensland Government, are currently helping out. Please consider giving them your support.

The great thing about facebook is that you know exactly what people are up to and if they're doing great or if they're having the worst times in their life. And if facebook is not enough, some people I know even have they're own blogs which give you more detail than a mere facebook status. I'm glad everyone is doing well!

I have a new mousetrap!
Meanwhile, my mousehunt trap just got an upgrade. I only play this during my spare time and it fits me perfectly since all you do is click... (I'm so lazy)

Anyway, I guess I just want to say that even though it's a bit sad leaving my old friends at Clear,  It's great seeing the blog of a certain papurr feline. Hope to see more of your interesting posts! :P

Clear - HP transition

Today we start training for HP. I'm still with Stream North Edsa by the way. They're just moving us to a new account. I've already said my farewell to old team mates and account mates.

The sad part is that we have 1 month of technical support training but if we fail the training there is a possibility that we will be terminated.

Why us?
Nobody can give us a solid explanation. The most honest answer I've gotten so far is that Clear is overstaffed and that they need to get rid of 10 people and they will revert back to the 12 hour shifts instead of 24. Hahaha!
It's true y'know. Personally I only get to take calls half of the day. Most of the time I just read my email and chat with idle people like me. So I guess it's the best decision for Stream at this time.

The good thing
Atleast it's 1 month of training again and possibility of getting a website running for revenue and commisions on sales. Hehehe! Good luck to that then.

Back to square 1.

After a long and intrepid research on how to get rich and what business to start, I ended up deciding to go with an internet-based business again. So I guess I'll start from there.

Reasons:

Bo Sanchez said: "start from your core gifts"

Robert Kiyosaki said " you don't need a lot of money to make a lot of money"

John Calub said " you can have everything"

In the end it all sums up that without enough funding and with my core gifts being English Communication and Computer know-how, I guess I'll have to start somewhere in that field and I don't have a lot of money for capital either.

So watch out for the return of comeback!

Beating Cashflow 101

So it's been a year since I started on y journey to financial know-how and finally I found a way to beat Robert Kiyosaki's cashflow 101. I never thought I'd ever understand terms like ROI, and the benefits of starting with small deals and going through with bigger deals. I guess Bo Sanchez and Trace Trajano's blogs were helpful with this as well.  Anyway here's what I found out. The first thing to beat the game is to get yourself out of the rat race. Choosing small real estate deals or businesses. then selling the property to get yourself into bigger deals with bigger cash flow.
I know it sounds easy but it took me a year to figure that one out. geez!

Chitika!!!

I figured 2011 would be a great year and just when I checked my mail today, I found that my Chitika account is now active! Awryt! So I haven't recovered from my adsense just yet but atleast i have the second best thing. A lot of big bloggers are talking about this contextual ad provider and I was really depressed when I wasn't approved the first time I applied for it. Now that I can work with these ads, It's time to rev up my blogging game for the year. We'll do 10 times better than last year!  Bwahahahahaha!

Deftones... is depressing

Everyone is crazy about the upcoming Deftones Concert. So out of curiosity I decided to listen to some of their music. It was kinda depressing. It's like the type of music that makes you feel angry and depressed after listening to it for a while. I guess it's just a matter of taste, but I'm finding it difficult listening to their songs. I guess it could grow on me after a while just like when I first started listening to L'arc-e-ciel. But I don't think feeling angry and depressed is how I'd like start my year.

I don't really play facebook games... until recently. When I first saw mousehunt's art, I was drooling. But looking at mice pictures gets old after while. Thankfully the same people who created mousehunt also made Levyn light. Now I only started playing it today but the art is pretty impressive. I can't say much about the game play though but I guess I'll be sticking around a while for the art. Yummy!

Year of the layouts...

I haven't been doing page payouts of a while now and ever since that job offer I just can't stop doing it. I'm trying out different design elements and if this all goes well, I might even make a career out of it.

Job offers

Just today a friend offered me a job as a layout artist for the company she used to work for. The only requirement is that I have to lear to use InDesign. I found out it's a page layout software that does wonders! I'm going to learn this thing over the weekend, and if I don't get the job at least I discovered this amazing software. It's exactly what I was looking for all these years, I should've discovered it ages ago.

Monopoly

On my quest to getting more business sense I've started playing Monopoly. A game that somehow has been an inspiration of a lot of success coaches that I've read about. So I started playing the game just recently on the new laptop that my Dad gave me. (Thanks Dad)

It's an easy enough game to play especially after the books I've read about real estate and playing cashflow 101 it's a really nice game, and an addictive one at that.
The objective of the game is to acquire properties of a single color set. When you do it's called a MONOPOLY then that's when you can build your houses and hotels. Acquiring property at the right side of the board seems to be the most profitable.
I've learned a lot with playing this game. I realized I need the stable income that I get whenever a make a complete cycle in the board. I also realize how critical dealing with other people is to success. And how important to save some money to get the good stuff and not squander it on non-profitable acquisitions. And when you're in jail, the only income you can rely on is your rental property.  I love this game already. I can't wait to buy  the real thing which would probably be after a year or two till I find someone else to play it with. Monopoly isn't quiete a popular game in the Philiipines but hey, you never know.

Every New Year I get sentimental and instead of making a resolution like most folks I like looking back in the past year and think of things I could've done better and be proud of stuff I did right. 

ON BLOGGING

I went through my blog for last year and I'm surprised how very few my entries were. Actually I've been busy with other blogs and the passion dwindled down when my Adsense got suspended so I guess that's to be expected. It's still my dream to be a professional web publisher so I'll keep blogging!

I guess if I had a new year's resolution it would be to make this blog active even without adsense. That sounds great!

ON FAMILY

I'm proud to say that my family is still intact and even through all those trials and tribulations. My married life seems to get better as time passes. It just amazes me. 

ON FAILURES

I've been a guy who gets discouraged easily. But this past year I've been getting a hang of it. I lost my 3 year job, I'm buried in debt, I'm earning a monthly income, and I'm not getting any thinner. Sigh....

I see a great 2011 that'll change all that.

ON LEARNING

Reading previous posts I've realized how much I learned the past year. Especially when in comes to business and blogging. I've also attended several seminars and followed a lot of great blogs. I'm surprised when I realized that a year ago I didn't know all these stuff to begin with. 

ON FRIENDSHIP

This is probably the year when I made a whole lot of friends after leaving Teletech. I've been secluding myself especially after I got married. The change was all too sudden for me and I had a hard time coping, but 2010 changed all that. Leaving Teletech might even be a blessing. 

ON WORK

I'm working at SM north now and get to travel farther that I had with my previous jobs. I would've preferred Ayala or Makati, but I guess SM north would do for now. Although I do miss earning a 5 figure income every pay day, I'm enjoying my stay at Stream so far. Let's see how far this gets me. 

ON SUCCESS

I guess since my past successes was rendered useless by my failures I don't think about them much, but having earned $100 per month for a few months was a kind of achievement for me. Also getting hired at Stream especially when I realized how many people can't get into a callcenter job even though they finished several big time courses in College. 

ON A CERTAIN PAPURR FELINE

I wonder what happened to her. I still think about her sometimes and can't seem to find her tumblr blog nowadays. I'm happy for her accomplishments and I know that she's had a bigger year than I had. Gambatte Pappur-chan!
